Special Places Travel Logo. EMAIL: info@specialplacestravel.com or PHONE: 1-877-642-2743 (001.443.321.3614 outside US/Canada).NEW IN 2017! The 8-passenger Aurora (formerly La Bonne Amie) is offering cruises in Holland in the spring and in Alsace in the summer and early fall in 2017. The barge captain is the previous owner of the 8-passenger barge Absoluut2, John Baker. As John says, "This trip of your lifetime will provide you with the most luxurious and amazing, top of the line barge experience with all inclusive treatment. All you have to do is relax to recharge your spirits and enjoy yourself to the fullest, discover the world of healthy indulgence and be pampered with impeccable service. Whatever your heart desires, be it a choice of daily activities we offer you, or a selection of a gourmet cuisine, or romantic, laughter-filled evenings, there will never be a routine aboard our ship and we are at your service. Because we aim to please!"

Aurora has the elegance of a classic yacht with stylish furniture, original artwork, fabrics and linen from the exclusive French house of Yves Delormes, the finest china and porcelain from Niderviller and Gien, crystal glasses from Baccarat and silverware from Chambly house. The salon adjacent to the dining area provides a fireplace, comfortable seating, a library, music corner, and internet access and leads to a covered terrace with granite dining table for alfresco dining plus a semi-circular indoor-outdoor bar. On deck there is a also a sunken jacuzzi with a deep sofa and armchairs and an upper level deck with a putting green and lounge chairs for enjoying the scenery.

The four spacious guest suites are designed for maximum comfort and are equipped with king size beds (in the two mid-ship cabins, the beds can be converted into twin beds), a console, chairs, chest of drawers, and large closet. Each suite has a large ensuite bathroom with two washbasins, an extra-large shower stall, and vanity with generous storage.

Aurora provides all meals on board - a full breakfast, a buffet or plated regional specialties for lunch and a daily choice between two menus for each dinner. Your talented onboard chef is happy to work with you to accommodate special requests.

There are springtime tulip cruises in Holland so you can marvel at the traditional sights such as windmills, cheese markets, porcelain, museums or flowers. And the cruises in Alsace in the summer will give you everything France has to offer - castles, museums, art, markets, nature, a boat-lift, history, a mixture of cultures, food, landscape and much more. A choice of excursions is always offered to cater to your interests. You are in charge of your vacation and the crew will coordinate your wishes with their local knowledge and expertise in this region to create the perfect cruise for you.
