Golf Itineraries Aboard Prospérité

At this time, a complete golf itinerary is under development to complement the high quality of Prospérité's itinerary of historical, cultural, viticultural, and artistic side excursions throughout the cruise week. One or more of the following golf clubs will likely be included in this itinerary. The full itinerary should be available within the next 60 days. Like the Prospérité's cuisine, crew, amenities, and route, the golf itinerary is certain to be exceptional, consistent with the Prospérité's overall objectives -- to provide the most elegant cruise experience ever in the heart of the Burgundy countryside.

Major Golf Clubs in the Burgundy Region


Chassy Domaine du Roncemay1. Chassy Domaine du Roncemay -- Laid out by, amongst others, Jean Garaialde who competed in the most prestigious international events and also designed many golf courses world wide, this 18-hole course has become one of the most interesting and beautiful in France. It offers plenty of variety and requires a complete range of golf shots and strokes.



Golf jacques Laffite Dijon-Bourgogne.2. Norges-la-ville: Golf jacques Laffite Dijon-Bourgogne. -- Located in the Norges forest, ten minutes from Dijon, this undulating 18-hole course, designed in 1972 by architect Mickael Fenn, provides a combination of short technical holes and long ones with flat bunkers in a peaceful setting. While challenging for confirmed players, this course can be enjoyed equally by beginners thanks to its wide fairways.

Beaune Levernois.3. Beaune Levernois. -- The Beaune Levernois golf course was technically designed so as to host international tournaments and welcome beginners in the best conditions. Located in the heart of the Burgundy wine region, its 9 lakes link up harmoniously amidst soothing greenery.

This course can be both technical for confirmed players and easy for beginners, thanks to a variety of starting-tees enabling players to custom-design the length of their course. Resources nearby, five minutes from the golf club, include visits to wine cellars, to the Beaune Hospices, to well-known wine estates and last but not least a drive through the vineyards.



Chalon sur Saône4. Chalon sur Saône. The golf club at Chalon sur Saône came into being in 1974, at the request of a group of American businessmen professionally active in the Burgundy region. Located in the heart of the sports and recreation park of Saint Nicolas, 3 Km of downtown, the Chalon sur Saône golf club is open 7 days a week year round. Its 18 holes cover more than 160 acres with more than 200 varieties of trees and 25000 rose bushes for you to discover and enjoy in the course of play



Château d’Avoise5. Château d’Avoise. -- Thanks to its quality and its special features, the golf course at Château d’Avoise enjoys a unique position in the heart of Burgundy, within one hour and a half from Paris and 40 minutes from Lyons on the fast train. This natural 18-hole course, laid out over an area of 300 acres among clumps of birch woods, towering beeches, ancient oak trees and an artificial lake provides a very interesting challenge, both technical an strategic, for players of all levels.



Mâcon la Salle6. Mâcon la Salle -- Carved by architect Robert Berthet who wanted to pay homage to the female body, as he did for example at the 10th hole which resembles a foot, in the magic setting of a 19th century castle, the golf course stretches out in the heart of a naturally beautiful and bountiful region. The fairways have pace and contour, the greens are vast and fast.
